Who writes here

Articles are produced by the Chongqing Travel editorial team based in Chongqing. We combine local first-hand experience with current research from Chinese social platforms (Xiaohongshu, Mafengwo, Douyin), international travel sites (Trip.com, Tripadvisor, Reddit, YouTube), and official sources (Chongqing Cultural & Tourism Bureau, metro and airport operators, hotel official pages).

How we research

Every article package starts with a browser-based research log: we open at least three independent sources, extract the facts that matter to a foreign traveler, and record the URLs and rights status before drafting. We do not publish prices, distances, or schedules from memory. See the methodology page for the full process.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to draft, translate, and lay out articles. A human editor reviews every published package against our research log and our editorial standards. Image generation is disclosed in the inline caption when an image is AI-rendered rather than a real photograph.

Hotel recommendation disclosure

Hotel recommendations appear only when lodging choices affect the trip: check-in friction, neighborhood tradeoffs, transport access, quiet streets, or river-view expectations. We require source-backed anchors such as address, walking distance, or a named facility, and we compare more than one option when a hotel paragraph becomes a recommendation.

Corrections

If you find an out-of-date price, schedule, or transport detail, please reach out via the contact channels published with each guide. We update articles in place and bump the "Last updated" date in the byline.
